DUI defense
A DUI charge starts two cases
One case is in criminal court. The other is about your license, and its deadline is shorter. Armando works both from the first call.
He starts with the stop: why the officer pulled you over, what was said, and what the video shows. Then the test, and then the paperwork.
First charges and repeat charges
Breath, blood and refusal cases
Charges after a crash
Handled in English or Spanish

What Armando checks first
The stop
Was there a lawful reason to pull you over, and to keep you there?
The test
How a breath or blood sample was taken, stored and read.
The paperwork
The officer's report, the video and the notices you were handed.
DUI: what people ask
Do I need a lawyer for a first DUI?
A first charge still brings a possible jail term, fines, a suspension and a record. A lawyer reads the stop, the test and the paperwork for what the state can't prove.
Does a prior DUI change things?
It can change the charge, the penalties and the options a prosecutor will offer. Bring any earlier paperwork you still have.
What if I had been drinking, but wasn't drunk?
Tell Armando exactly what happened, drink by drink. A test result is a number, and numbers have questions behind them: how it was taken, how it was kept, and how it was read.
Bring the paper, or send a photo of it
Armando reads it first and tells you which deadline comes first.
Texts aren't private. Please don't send confidential details by text; Armando will ask for them on a call.
