Traffic tickets

Some tickets cost more than the fine

A ticket can add points, raise your insurance, or put a commercial license at risk. Armando handles speeding, reckless driving, citations after a crash and other moving violations.

He will also say, plainly, when paying is the better choice and a lawyer isn't worth the money.

  • Appearances on your behalf, where allowed

What a ticket can cost you

  • Points

Moving violations can add points, and points add up.

  • Insurance

A conviction can raise what you pay every month.

  • A commercial license

Drivers for hire are held to a stricter standard and can lose work.

  • A suspension

Too many tickets, or a serious one, can end in a suspension.

Tickets: what people ask

Should I just pay the ticket?

Paying is usually pleading guilty, and it goes on your record. For a small, clean ticket that can be fine. When points, insurance or a commercial license are at stake, make the call first.

I drive for work. Does that change anything?

Yes. A commercial license is held to a stricter standard, and a ticket you'd shrug off in a private car can cost a job. Say so on the first call.

Do I have to go to court myself?

Often a lawyer can appear for you on a ticket. Armando will tell you if your court needs you there in person.
